Chapter 3.3: Generation four shows potential

I’m back! Had an awesome time in Sydney! (12 hours later I was at the travel agent booking my next holiday! haha)

With another child being brought into the family, Alexis and Syd were happy to see Indie and Martyn getting along. Martyn loved being a big brother, and was always spending time with his little sister.

The blocks were always a favoutire for toddlers and children.

As opposed to her previous two pregnancies, Alexis embraced her pregnancy and maternity leave by relaxing at the day spa and looking after her children. She didn’t even make one business call or attend any meetings.

For the first time Alexis actually enjoyed being pregnant.

Martyn was more excited than anyone to have another little sibling. He was hoping for a brother. Syd was hoping for twins, one of each. And Alexis truly didn’t care what she had.

Indie was too young to know what was happening, but Martyn was excited enough for the both of them.

Late one night Alexis was out harvesting some fruit and veges when something amazing happened. She saw the ghost of her mother, for the first time since she had passed away. She imagined herself telling Corah how she’d become a much better mother to her kids, and was excited about expecting another. Knowing the ghost couldn’t hear her, Alexis just had to smile at the thought of pleasing her mother.

The most Alexis could do was imagine, she would have loved to really talk to her mum again.

Many birthdays were coming up, and first was Indie’s turn. She was about to become a child and go off to school. Alexis brought her to the cake at her birthday party.

Everyone gathers around for Indie's birthday.

Indie did her best to blow out the candles, but in the end she needed a little help from her mum. Indie grew up into a bit of a lazy child, and could happily sit for hours on the couch playing video games.

Indie tried her hardest to blow out the candles.

Before the party was over Alexis went into labour. Not wanting to ruin her daughter’s birthday party Alexis went to her room and had her first home birth.

Alexis didn't want to make a scene and Syd helped her with a home birth while the kids enjoyed the party.

Little Levi Freeman was born. The final of the fourth generation, Alexis and Syd had both decided to have no more kids. Martyn was going to be a teen soon, and they didn’t want big age gaps between their children.

Martyn got his wish of little brother.

Levi also took after Alexis by being easily impressed. They could already see at this early age, that he tended to worry and stress about things, at least a lot more than his older siblings. Alexis and Syd just hoped that he would grow out of it soon enough.

Alexis and Syd had to calm Levi down, he got worked up so often.

The day after Levi was born Syd decided to give Alexis some time and took Martyn and Indie out to the local pool. Martyn was dying to go there, and Syd decided to treat him to an early birthday present. He loved anything athletic, and Syd was willing to teach him, as he was close to maxing out his athletic skill.

Indie was more hesitant of going to the pool, wanting to just stay home and watch TV.

Alexis became restless staying at home with only Levi, so she made a quick trip to visit Berlin, who had moved homes. Alexis was sad that she had not had the chance of becoming an aunty, but with the move to a much larger house it gave Alexis a little bit of hope that Berlin was ready to settle down. She wasn’t getting her hopes up to high though.

Berlin's new home had three bedrooms, it seemed perfect for a large family...

Alexis and Syd began to worry about Indie and all the time she spent at home, and encouraged her to get a hobby. She picked up a paintbrush and everyone discovered that she was quite the artist. Now instead of finding Indie on the couch, she was found in the study with her easel and paintbrush, decorating the house with wonderful artwork.

From the moment Indie began painting her artistic skills were made obvious.

It was time for Martyn to age into a teen, he was more than excited, as that meant he could start using the home gym and go to the local gym with his dad.

Syd was just as excited, at the thought of training Martyn at the gym.

Martyn had a fantastic party and grew into a successful teen. He decided to change his look a little and really start working out. He’d grown up to be a little over-emotional.

Martyn already had a good physique from swimming and eating the right foods.

Martyn was overwhelmed with his family, and spent a lot of his time helping his parents look after little Levi. He didn’t need to be asked to help, he wanted to.

Martyn was a loving brother.

In the time he wasn’t helping out with family, he was working out. Syd was so proud of his boy, who would get up extra early in the morning and jog to school instead of taking the school bus. He was showing real potential. But he still wasn’t decided on what he wanted to do with his life.

He didn't waste any time, and got on the treadmill immediately.

Indie continued to paint a lot, and Alexis was surprised to find her one night sleeping in her grandmother’s bed. Alexis gathered it wasn’t the best idea to have her sleeping in the same room as a baby, considering Indie was such a light sleeper. But, Levi was about to age to a toddler.

Indie couldn't sleep with a crying baby in her room. Corah and Jay's room was much more peaceful.

Levi grew up to look mostly like his father, except for Alexis’s hair colour. Alexis got straight to work teaching her youngest son all of the necessary skills. Soon she would return to work, and from then it wouldn’t be long until she had the opportunity to retire. Her children were growing up, and soon she was going to have to make the decision of who would be generation four heir. Right now, she had no clue, it wasn’t going to be easy to choose between her children.

She wanted Levi to have the right start, and have just as much chance of becoming heir.
